Visit to the Fish Market (Lellama) where daily auctions take place for those of you who are up early.
The Fishing Village is also known as the Lellama by the locals is located across the lagoon bridge, near the Old Dutch Gate in Negombo. This is the second largest open-air fish market in Sri Lanka. This will give you a better insight into the local fishing community. You will be able to witness the fishermen in hundreds of boats bringing in their days catch. See how the wholesalers and restaurateurs trade watch the packing & loading of fish for distribution across the country as well as for export worldwide.
If you prefer a later start, feel free to enjoy a late breakfast and head towards Sigiriya. Alternatively, if you visited the fish market, return to the hotel for a late breakfast.
Select your own fresh catch for lunch. Preserve in a cold box and take it along with you for your lunch BBQ, where you would interact with the hotel Chef and make your own BBQ.

In the evening climb Sigiriya Rock fortress.
Sigiriya
Climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress, which is a UNESCO world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The 'Lion Rock' is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70-hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.
On completion, return to the hotel.
